Origami cranes make for lovely wedding decorations, especially when they are created out of paper in your wedding colors. They can be placed on tables for guests to take home with them, or strung together into garlands. In Japanese, Chinese, and Korean tradition, cranes are considered good luck, and in legend, 1,000 cranes can bring eternal luck, something any newlywed couple will appreciate. If you aren’t interested in folding paper, consider using an oversized paper punch to create circles, hearts, or other shapes in decorative papers to scatter on tables or gather into garlands.
If you’re interested in creating your own personal Origami Crane, Wikihow has a very informative blog and video online to help.
